Flag Service Terms & Conditions
Please review these Troop 404G Flag Service Terms & Conditions before enrollment.
Fundraiser
Troop 404G Holiday Flag Service is a fundraising activity benefiting Cub Scout Troop 404G. During an active service entitlement, Troop 404G places and retrieves an American flag at the subscribed service address for the designated included holidays.
Service Area
Service is available only at addresses approved by Troop 404G within the current service area. Moving does not automatically transfer coverage; a new address must be approved.
Annual Price
The annual Flag Service subscription is $50.00. An annual $2.00 administrative fee is added to help cover the administrative and operational costs associated with managing the service. The total annual charge is $52.00. The complete total is shown before you complete payment. The initial service entitlement depends on signup timing as disclosed at enrollment; no proration is offered for customers enrolling later within Window A.
Optional Solar Flag Light
Customers may optionally purchase a Solar Flag Light for a one-time charge of $10.00. The light will be delivered during the customer's first Flag Service placement and becomes the customer's property. Customers are responsible for placing the light before future service holidays if they wish to illuminate the flag at night. The Solar Flag Light purchase is optional and is not included in or charged as part of future annual Flag Service renewals.
Initial Service Windows
All cutoff times use America/Boise. January 1 through July 31: service begins on the enrollment date and ends December 31 of that year; included holidays are those on or after enrollment. August 1 through November 10: the $52.00 enrollment includes Veterans Day in the enrollment year plus all five designated holidays in the following calendar year, with service paid through December 31 of the following year. November 11 through December 31: the $52.00 enrollment includes all five designated holidays from January 1 through December 31 of the following year and no current-year holidays.
Automatic Renewal
Online enrollment is an automatically renewing service. Unless canceled, new calendar-year subscriptions renew annually for January 1 through December 31 terms. You authorize the then-current annual amount to be charged using your authorized tokenized payment method on or around the disclosed renewal date. Troop 404G does not store full card numbers or CVV/security codes.
Gift Subscriptions
If you enroll a property as a gift, the subscriber/purchaser is responsible for the $52.00 initial charge, future renewal charges, payment-method authorization, renewal notices, receipts, failed-payment notices, and cancellation of future renewal. The service is delivered to the named homeowner at the named service address. The purchaser represents that they have permission from the homeowner to enroll the property and provide the homeowner's contact information. The homeowner does not receive billing control or the purchaser's secure management link. Renewal remains attached to the purchaser's authorized payment method until the purchaser cancels it; cancellation stops future renewal while the paid term continues. This enrollment does not state that the homeowner separately signed these Terms.
Renewal Notice
Troop 404G will send an advance renewal reminder approximately 45 days before automatic annual billing. The reminder will state the renewal date, price, upcoming service period, and management/cancellation instructions.
Cancellation
Customers may cancel future automatic renewal at any time through their secure online management page or another method Troop 404G provides. Cancellation stops future renewal. Unless the customer specifically requests otherwise, already-paid service continues through the paid-through date.
Immediate Discontinuation
If a customer asks Troop 404G to stop service immediately, Troop 404G may stop future placements during the already-paid term and remove Troop 404G equipment. Immediate discontinuation does not create a refund or credit entitlement except where required by law.
No Prorated Refunds or Credits
Cancellation during an already-paid service term does not result in a prorated refund, partial refund, or account credit for unused service, except where otherwise required by law.
Missed Service / Human Error
The program is substantially volunteer-operated. Troop 404G will make reasonable efforts to serve every eligible active subscribed address, but human error can occur. If you believe your address was missed, notify flags@troop404boise.org as soon as reasonably possible. Troop 404G will investigate and may provide placement or retrieval, equipment correction or replacement, a future-service adjustment, or another reasonable resolution depending on timing and circumstances. No cash refund is promised automatically.
Weather / Safety / Events Outside Control
Placement or pickup may be changed or delayed because of severe weather, unsafe conditions, emergencies, government restrictions, or events outside reasonable control.
CORE
The installed ground component is called the CORE. Use of the CORE does not transfer ownership to the customer.
Troop 404G Property
The flag, flag pole, CORE, and related Troop 404G service equipment remain Troop 404G property. Your subscription payment does not purchase this equipment.
Customer Care of Pack Property
After Troop 404G places equipment at the subscribed property, the customer is responsible for taking reasonable care to prevent damage or loss. Except for ordinary wear and tear or damage caused solely by an act of nature, the customer may be responsible for reasonable repair or replacement cost when the flag, pole, CORE, or related equipment is damaged, destroyed, lost, removed, or made unusable by the customer, household member, guest, tenant, contractor, landscaper, vehicle, animal, or other activity associated with the property. No arbitrary penalty amount is imposed.
CORE Removal
The CORE remains Troop 404G property after cancellation, expiration, or service discontinuation. When service ends, the customer authorizes reasonable property access for Troop 404G to retrieve or remove the CORE and other Troop 404G property. The customer should not remove, discard, destroy, fill, cover, transfer, or permit another person to remove the CORE without Troop 404G authorization. If the CORE is removed, lost, destroyed, or rendered unusable other than by ordinary wear or an act of nature, the customer may be responsible for reasonable replacement and, where applicable, reinstallation cost.
Property Access
The customer authorizes reasonable access to the subscribed property as necessary to install, place, retrieve, inspect, maintain, or remove Flag Service property.
Private Underground Conditions
Before CORE installation, the homeowner or customer is responsible for identifying and informing Troop 404G of known private underground conditions at or near the installation location, including sprinkler or irrigation lines, private water lines, low-voltage wiring, invisible pet fencing, drainage systems, landscape lighting, and other private underground improvements. The customer is responsible for notifying Troop 404G of known locations before the CORE is installed. This does not state that every underground facility can or should be homeowner-located and does not change public utility-locate law.
Property-Damage Risk Allocation
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Troop 404G and FTS Outdoors will not be responsible for damage to private irrigation systems, sprinkler lines, private water lines, wiring, landscaping, or other property resulting from undisclosed, inaccurately identified, or unknown private underground improvements at or near the location authorized for installation of the Flag Service CORE. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Property Changes
Customers should notify Troop 404G of material conditions affecting access or safe service, including locked gates, fencing changes, aggressive animals, landscaping work, irrigation work, construction, utility work, or access restrictions.
Electronic Communications
Customer agrees to receive transactional Flag Service communications including enrollment confirmations, service updates, renewal reminders, payment receipts, failed-payment notices, cancellation confirmations, and property or equipment notices.
Future Pricing and Terms
Troop 404G may change future pricing or future program terms. Material changes affecting a future renewal should be disclosed before the next charge. Troop 404G will not retroactively shorten an already-paid term.
Secure Payments
Payments use secure provider-hosted fields and tokenized payment methods. Troop 404G does not store full card numbers or CVV/security codes.
